My New Kitchen Table

I never thought I would retire my farm table to the breakfast nook in the kitchen.  Ever.  I have loved that thing (And still do) since I found it at the Vintage Barn Show.

Last night changed all that for me though.  About 2 months ago, I was going to a garage sale and on the way there, I noticed a table and chairs just sitting outside in someone's yard.  The chairs were laying on the ground and it looked like it hadn't moved for a long time.  I tried to forget about it since no one was home, but last weekend, I stopped and put a note in the mailbox.  Last night, the owner called me and said I could have the table and chairs for $35.00.

I tried to act cool but as soon as we pulled out of the driveway I went crazy with "YAHOO's" and "WOW WOW WOW's" and I think I even punched Tanner in the arm a couple of times!  He's totally used to my craziness.  Without further ado, my new kitchen table.  I love love love love love it!

I'm now on the hunt for some vintage French grain sacks......anyone have some for cheap????

We have 2 chairs with cane, 2 chairs without.  2 chairs with both finials, 2 chairs without.  I think I'll replace the ones without cane with some thin wood covered in tufted fabric.  It's already distressed so perfectly!

We also scored a free vintage camper yesterday....baby blue and silver...but I'm saving that for another post.  Make sure to follow on Facebook and Twitter for picture updates!

How wonderful. I'm envious of the trailer! I've been looking for you but they are all wicked expensive! Good for you!

Wow! Absolutely gorgeous - lucky you! They really are beautiful. I hope you have luck finding some cheap grain sacks - they are really expensive in the UK and we only have the Hungarian ones (with the stripes and the monogrammes) - I've never seen any old feed store ones.
If you can't find any e-mail me and I'll give you some tips on making fake ones with freezer paper or knock you some up myself.
Good luck!

I just bought a very similar set at Sally Anne's for $29.95, but tipped the staff 5 bucks for helping us load the truck. So similar price. Mine needs total paint job though, but the the caning is all intact except for one tiny hole.

Anyone know what style you would call this?
